Common questions about merging PDFs.

How do I merge PDF files?
Drop two or more PDFs onto the tool. They appear in a list you can drag to reorder. Click Merge into one PDF and the combined file downloads. The pages are joined in the order shown. No upload, no signup, no install.
Is the merge PDF tool really free?
Yes. No accounts, no daily caps, no per-file size limit, no watermark. The whole merge runs in your browser using pdf-lib.
Do my PDFs upload anywhere?
No. The files are combined entirely on your device. Nothing uploads, nothing is logged. This matters when the PDFs are contracts, statements, or any sensitive document.
Can I reorder the files before merging?
Yes. Drag the rows up or down to set the page order in the merged file. The number on each row shows where its pages will land in the output.
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
As many as you like. Add them all, reorder, and merge. There is no per-file or per-batch cap. Very large merges are limited only by your device's memory.
Does it keep the original quality?
Yes. Merging copies the pages exactly as they are, with no recompression. Text stays selectable, images stay at full resolution. The merged file is lossless.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
If a PDF is encrypted but not password-locked for reading, the tool can usually still merge it. Fully password-protected (read-locked) PDFs need to be unlocked first in the app that created them.

Building a document set from field photos?

The iOS app stamps every shot with date, GPS, and address, so the photos you combine into a PDF are already self-documenting evidence.
