Any coordinate, turned into an address.

A browser-side reverse geocoder that turns latitude and longitude into a street address on a map, using free OpenStreetMap data. No key, no account, free.

Coordinates to address

Paste latitude and longitude and get the nearest street address back.

Decimal or DMS

Either format works; the tool reads both and reverse-geocodes the point.

On the map

A pin drops on an OpenStreetMap so you can see exactly where the point falls.

No API key

Built on free OpenStreetMap data. No account, no key, no cost, no limit.

Only coordinates sent

Just the numbers you paste are looked up. Nothing else is collected.

Copy the address

One click copies the full address, ready for a report, a form, or a note.

Common questions about coordinates to address.

How do I find the address for GPS coordinates?
Paste the coordinates into the box above, in decimal (40.7128, -74.0060) or DMS, and press Get address. The tool reverse-geocodes them with OpenStreetMap and returns the nearest street address, with a pin on the map. Nothing but the coordinates is sent.
Does it accept decimal and DMS?
Yes. A decimal pair like 40.7128, -74.0060 works, and so does a DMS string with N/S/E/W markers. The parser handles the common spacings and symbols and converts either to an address.
Does it need an API key or account?
No. It uses the free OpenStreetMap Nominatim service, so there is no key, no sign-up, and no cost. Only the coordinates you paste are looked up.
Why is the address approximate sometimes?
Reverse geocoding returns the nearest known address or feature to a point. In dense cities that is usually the exact building; in rural areas it may be the nearest road or place name, because there is nothing more precise mapped nearby.
Can I get the address from a photo instead?
Yes. If you have the photo rather than the raw coordinates, use our photo location finder. It reads the GPS straight from the photo's metadata and shows the address, with no need to copy numbers by hand.

Want the address recorded automatically?

Looking up an address by hand is fine for one point. When you shoot with the iOS app, the reverse-geocoded address is stamped onto each photo at the shutter, so the location reads in plain English with no lookup.
